Please read the following terms and conditions prior to activating the Scan Mailboxes’ PDF via email feature.
Scan Mailboxes’ PDF via email feature enables email based notification with the PDF attached containing your scanned contents. Please be aware that information transmitted via email is may not be secure, and Scan Mailboxes cannot guarantee the security of any information transmitted via unsecure and/or unencrypted email.
You understand that using this feature will put you and your organization at risk of being non-compliant with HIPAA regulations. In order to be in HIPAA compliant, this feature MUST be disabled at all the time. When this feature is disabled, you will still receive an email notification right after we complete your open and scan requests. You will be required to log into your secure online mailbox account to view your contents in secure manner.
This feature can be disabled by filling out this form. Further, this feature may be disabled by Scan Mailboxes if the destination is undeliverable. It is your responsibility to re-enroll for this feature after the email address has been corrected.
You may encounter errors, interruptions, delays or failures in the receipt of your email with PDF attached, which may or may not be out of the control of Scan Mailboxes. Such technical difficulties include, but are not limited to Internet Service Provider (ISP) problems or wireless communications carrier outages. Further, some cell phones or mobile devices may omit a portion of the email. Scan Mailboxes makes no warranties to you about the timeliness of the email notification service or the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any email we provide you.
The use of Scan Mailboxes’ PDF via email feature is at your own risk. Scan Mailboxes will provide the PDF via email feature and its messages to you on an “as is” basis without any warranties of any kind. Under no circumstances shall Scan Mailboxes be liable for any type of damages resulting from the use of or reliance upon the Scan Mailboxes’ PDF via email feature or the contents of PDF attachments, specific alerts or notifications.
