First, you need to sign up for a Scan Mailboxes account.
Then you will need to fill out and notarize a postal consent form and have it mailed to us. The postal consent form does not need to be notarized if you plan to stop by our office in person. This is required by the United States Postal Service for security and must be done before we are allowed to handle your mail and package deliveries.
After that is done, you just need to alert senders of your new Scan Mailboxes mailing address.
NOTE: If you would like to expedite the verification process, you can upload the attachment here.
HELPFUL TIP: After you receive a confirmation from Scan Mailboxes that your mailbox account is ready. It could also help save your time to submit a Change of Address form with the United States Postal Service by clicking here.
In case you were wondering if this requirement applies only to Scan Mailboxes customers. The short answer is no. The long answer is the Postal Consent Form (PS Form 1583) requirement applies to all other mailbox rental service providers such as private mailbox rental companies and executive suites mail service companies. Even with the PO Box through US Postal Service, they still will require you to provide the same type of identification documents but with their own form known as PS Form 1903.
